African Citizens Development Foundation was established in 1995 in Africa, registered in Nigeria in 2000, in London and Wales 1n 2009 and as UK registered Charity in 2010 to sensitize African Citizens on the importance of virtues and integrity in development. CITIZENS SCHOOLS The Foundation established the Citizens College (CITICOLL) on the 12th October 1997 in Lagos Nigeria to offer qualitatative low-free secondary education for African Children irrespective of social class or cultural disparity. The Foundation now has three colleges in Africa: two in Nigeria and one in the Republic of Benin plus an Outreach Centre in the Republic of Togo, for English/French Language Development (EFLD) as tools of internationalcommunication and connections. www.citizenscollege.net
ASSEFAD-COUNCIL ACDF Established the Society for Shelter, Education, Food and Agricultural Development in Africa (ASSEFAD) duly registered as civil society organisation with the mandate to work with poor, peasant farmers who produces more than 90% of the local food products in spite of near-total social exclusion. ACDF established Millennium Village as a model for replication in other Local Government Councils area across the continent. Our Cluster farmers produce variety of farm products and Livestock management. ACDF Advocacy work includes: - Promotion of rule of rule of law for promoting Active Citizenship
- Transparency and good governance
- Poverty Reduction strategy
AWARD ACDF was granted Associate Status with the Department of Public Information (DPI) of the United Nations in 2007 for its outstanding advocacy in Africa and, Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations in July, 2009 for the Foundation growing involvement in the Economic and Social development activities in the Sub-Saharan Africa.
